Mr Barrit had an old run down driveway made up of paving slabs, bits of gravel and earth. He wanted to replace this with a nice new patterned concrete driveway. First task was to lift up the old paving slabs and dig out the existing soil and rubble. Once we’d dug down to a suitable depth for the new hardcore, we lay a heavy duty membrane and type one hardcore to give a solid base.
The next job was to install the edge blocks, acting as a retainer for the concrete. Once this was complete, a four inch layer of concrete was poured onto the drive which was then imprinted with a pattern of the customer’s choosing. The entire job took three days to complete from start to finish.
