Mrs Richards had an overgrown, weathered garden at the front of her property and a worn out driveway to the side. She decided to increase the parking space by removing the front garden and replacing it with a lovely new Herringbone Block Paving Drive. First job was to remove the old paving drive and dig out the existing garden, earth and rubble. That completed, we laid a heady duty membrane for weed control and hardcore to create a solid base.
With the hardcore compacted, we began laying the sand base and then the block paving. The blocks were laid in a herringbone design with mixed shades to create a mottled effect. Around the edge of the drive we laid pavers to frame the driveway. The entire job took three days to complete from start to finish.
