Mrs Wright decided to upgrade her old paving slabs driveway with a lovely new Herringbone Block Paving one. We lifted the old slabs and dug away the existing soil and rubble to give us the right depth for the base foundation. We then laid a heavy duty membrane to create a strong weed protection barrier and type one hardcore to create a solid base.

With the foundation work complete, we began laying the sand cement base mix and then the block paving. The blocks were laid in a herringbone design with mixed shades to create a mottled effect. Around the edge of the drive we laid pavers to frame the driveway. The entire job took three days to complete from start to finish.
