Mr Loft had an old uneven garden path and front garden and he wanted to convert this over to driveway space. So he asked us to remove his existing pathway, dig out the entire front garden and lay a new block paved drive. This involved excavating the whole of the front garden area to the correct depth to allow new hardcore to be laid and compacted ready for the new driveway. After clearing away the earth, the new mix of stone hardcore was laid, along with a heavy duty membrane to control weed growth and then the sand base ready for the blocks.
Before laying the drive, we first installed the edging blocks and kerbstones to create a nice frame around the outside of the drive. Once complete, the inner blocks were then laid in a herringbone design. The entire job took just under a week to complete from start to finish.
